Pro Tip: Never Neglect the Neck!

There are a few different common complaints we come across, when addressing neck concerns. In no specific order, the most common, or top 3, include:

  1. Discoloration and/or blotchiness and/or brown spots.

  2. Crepey, wrinkly, sagging skin.

  3. Horizontal "necklace" lines.

Now, let's break it down.

Discoloration and/or blotchiness and/or brown spots:

In general, these concerns are due to excess sun damage. Some discoloration can occur from the skin's reaction to constant use of perfumes, but most often it's from the good ol' sun. We said it once (or twice) and we'll say it again... Mineral based SPF is the most IMPERATIVE thing you can do for your skin. All of it. Head to toe. Make sure your sunscreen has a high Zinc content, and don't forget to reapply throughout the day. We recommend the SkinBetter Science compacts and lotions, which are mineral based, non-comedogenic and tone-smart, so they can literally replace your foundation.

Once the damage is done, how do we repair it? Intense Pulse Light (IPL) with our Xeo laser is a great place to start. It will require about 3-5 sessions that are quick and relatively painless.

Crepey, wrinkly, sagging skin:

For saggy, wrinkly skin that's lost its luster (so to speak), treatments that target deeper layers are indicated. Such as our Genius Radio Frequency Microneedling device. It requires about 3 sessions that take about an hour, including numbing time. This is a minimally-invasive treatment that will give you the WOW results you're looking for. The skin-tightening capabilities are truly profound. Fun fact: 3+ months after your final session, your collagen is still being stimulated and produced, so your results will keep getting better. And better.

Horizontal "necklace" lines:

Treatment of neck bands with Neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin) is hands-down one of our favorite treatments! Sometimes this requires more than one session, but injectables are an extremely effective treatment for both horizontal neck lines as well as vertical neck bands, caused by the platysmal muscle. Use of Neuromodulators can really result in a breathtakingly smooth and youthful neck.
