Fillers and Neuromodulators can do some seriously amazing things for your appearance. When these cosmetic injections are performed by an expert injector at Outlast Aesthetics, you can contour, correct and even change the shape and look of your face.

Dermal fillers are a non-invasive way to soften and even eliminate unwanted wrinkles, face creases and age lines. In addition to Botox and Dysport, other injectables used include Restylane, Restylane-L, Lyft, Kysse, Defyne, Refyne and Restylane Contour that will help contour the face shape to the patient’s preference. The key ingredient in these fillers is hyaluronic acid, a substance already naturally-occurring in the body that helps add volume and hydration to the skin. As a person ages, their skin gets thinner and more elastic, and with the aid of these fillers, the sagging skin will be plumped up, making the face and other body parts look fuller and more youthful.

For people who might feel self-conscious about their gummy smiles (showing too much of their top gums while smiling), Botox injections can be used to reduce the visibility of gums when you grin. Smiling should be an expression of happiness, but for those with too much gum showing, it’s often an act full of self-consciousness —especially in this time of all selfies, all the time. Botox injections can decrease the amount of gums showing when you mug for the camera. Botox will be injected into the muscles of the upper lip, and by weakening those muscles it will lower the elevation of the top lip, and reduce the amount of gums visible when smiling.

Do you constantly have a frown? Botox can be injected into the muscle that is pulling the corners of your lips to relax that muscle and stop the pulling downward movement.

Whether you prefer a more narrow jawline, or if your jawline has widened and increased in size over time due to clenching of the masseter muscle in the side areas of the jaw, you can have it “softened” or reduced with Botox or Dysport treatments. Botox/Dysport will be injected into the masseter muscle under the cheekbones, and the size of the jaw will decrease over time. Like all neurotoxin procedures, the results will last 3-4 months, though with continued injections, the muscle will begin to atrophy over time due to lack of use, and the jaw will stay narrower. Regular treatments over time will even lead to muscle hypertrophy, meaning that the muscle loses strength and volume as it is used less and less over time. Ideal treatment for teeth grinders!
