ULTRA LASEMD AFTER CARE

Most patients see significant improvement in the appearance of their skin within 3-6 weeks after their Ultra LASEMD treatment. The results of the treatment are generally long-lasting, but may need to be repeated every few years to maintain the desired results.

Here are some additional tips for aftercare:

  • Wear sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher every day, even on cloudy days. Sun exposure can increase the risk of hyperpigmentation.

  • It is normal to experience some peeling and flaking after your treatment. This is a sign that your skin is healing.

  • If you have any questions or concerns about your aftercare, be sure to ask your Outlast provider.

AT HOME:

CLEANSING YOUR FACE

Use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer. Avoid using harsh products that could irritate your skin. We recommend SkinBetter Science Oxygen Infusion Wash. Apply a cold compress to the treated area for 20 minutes at a time, several times a day. This will help to reduce swelling and redness.

HYDRATION AND SERUMS

Our SkinBetter Alto will help soothe and heal the skin while reducing irritation. Since your skin will feel drier than usual, you can hydrate and restore your skin’s balance with a serum containing hyaluronic acid as well. Using moisturizers, such as our SkinBetter Trio, with ceramides and spritzing hydrating water sprays whenever your skin feels dry can also help soothe your skin. Drink plenty of water to hydrate and to help heal your skin faster.

AVOIDING IRRITANTS

Avoid using makeup or other harsh products on the treated area. Makeup can clog pores and irritate your skin.

SUN PROTECTION + STRENUOUS ACTIVITY

Avoid strenuous activity and sun exposure for at least 7 days. Strenuous activity can increase the risk of bleeding and bruising. Sun exposure can increase the risk of hyperpigmentation.
